General Secretary, FEDMA
After 10 years spend in the paper related industry, working for paper merchants, for printing and converting groups and for the national postal operator bpost, Sébastien Houzé started to work for Federations. After the experience gained at PostEurop, the European postal operators federation, and at Paper Chain Forum, the communication platform of the Belgian paper industry, he decided to dedicate his passion and enthusiasm to FEDMA, the Federation of European Direct and Interactive Marketing. He was appointed Secretary General the 1st January 2014. He will put his paper and print knowledge, his expertise on neuromarketing and his passion for digital to prove that direct communication, combining the strengths that offers a multichannel approach, works better than ever… And that now that the one to one interaction is crucial for brands, FEDMA and the DMAs have an important role to play.
Sébastien Houzé is married, with 4 children and lives in the countryside, near the French border.
Today, dialogue marketing strategies (via mail, telephone, Internet and direct response) are an essential tool for companies to approach, inform and retain customers, as well as providing customer relationship services. The development of sophisticated databases, telemarketing and e-marketing has made direct marketing increasingly popular as a marketing strategy and has encouraged strong investment.
Through its many activities, FEDMA is dedicated to building the business of cross-border direct marketing, both through its vast network of contacts and businesses within and beyond Europe and by representation within the institutions of the European Union.
FEDMA's mission is to:
Protect the European direct and interactive marketing industry and the interests of our members. FEDMA aims to encourage the European institutions to ensure a healthy commercial and legislative environment within which the dm-industry may prosper.
Promote members, governments, media, businesses and consumers about the European direct and interactive marketing industry and encourage education and training for the sector.
Inform members, governments, media, businesses and consumers about the European direct and interactive marketing industry and encourage education and training for the sector.
FEDMA represents most of the European Direct Marketing Associations and companies with multinational business. Nearly a hundred members put their trust in us and develop with our help the dialogue marketing business in Europe.
